Introduction of Coiled Tubing

Coiled tubing is a tube made of low-carbon alloy steel with good flexibility. A single spool of coiled tubing extends for thousands of meters. With small size, short operation cycle and low cost, it can operate under pressure and continuously run in and out of hole as a substitution for conventional tubing.

When operated with downhole tool and CTU, coiled tubing saves time and lowers cost for downhole operation. With the ability to operate under pressure, it protects the oil & gas reservoir.
  • Drilling: drilling in slim-hole wells, short-radius, extended-reach or multi-lateral horizontal wells and under-balanced wells as well as redrilling of old wells

  • Workover: gas lift, wax removal, fracturing, acidification, cutting, cement squeeze, plug removal by sluicing sand, under-balance perforation, drilling fluid displacement and fishing.

  • Logging: detection of horizontal and highly deviated wells after injecting cables, which serve as channel for power supply and signals of the downhole tools.
